Johansson began dating Saturday Night Live co-head writer and Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost in May 2017. In May 2019, the two were engaged. They married in October 2020, at their New York home. She gave birth to their son in August 2021 also known as Cosmo Jost. She however did not have children with her first husband, Ryan Reynolds
